Giovina De La Rosa

Born to her widower father Francisco De La Rosa, Giovina acquired her name from her deceased mother Bailey Giovina De La Rose who died during child birth to her one and only baby girl. Heartbroken at the lose of his wife, Francisco went into shock. Baby Giovina was left up to the nurses and hospital staff as well as both sides of the families relatives. When it was time for Giovina to go home the first thing the infant attended was her mothers funeral, which she would never remember, but would hear about often from an abusive, alcoholic father in her early childhood life. The baby girl grew into a beautiful young toddler who loved to play with old dolls, pick daises in the field next to her broken home for her father, paint and color on the walls and sometimes when her father wasn’t home or passed out drunk on their living room floor she would often play dress up and makeup with her mother’s clothes, her father only caught her once which resulted in many bruises and a trip to the hospital. From there on young Giovina was sent to live with her Aunt and Uncle in a completely different state, from there one they would adopt the little girl to be there own child and an add on to a already large family of five which would now be six. Most of her older cousins, now ’siblings’ were boys who taught her how to spit, ride bikes, play sports and even talk to girls, which would later result in the girl becoming bi-sexual with a preference for women. Her now sisters taught her style, lady-like manners, and of course how to talk to boys. Giovina grew into quite the beautiful young adult, with flowing raven locks and bright blue eyes with a tint dark tint to her skin no young man in their right mind would not try and hit on her. This resulted in her eldest ‘brother’ in a drunken stupor crawl into bed with her one night and made her perform oral sex, this soon resulted in him wanting more and threatened to make her life hell if she ever spoke a word. One day someone walked in on the two and the older boy blamed it on Giovina telling his family it was she who had given him the alcohol and had taken after her good for nothing father, her once happy family was now anything but. They kicked her out along with all of her belongings, which weren’t much after they got threw with her. With no where to go Giovina went back to her father’s home, he had cleaned up, met a new women and even married her and had two children with, Giovina was happy to see him healthy as well as happy and he was even happier to see that she had turned out alright after everything he had done. Giovina told him why she was there and the truth about why she was kicked out, her father called up her Uncle and told them the truth, they didn’t believe he was sober or that it was the truth, changed their number and were never heard from again. Giovina was now fifteen soon to be sixteen that following December, when things were going right again something blue appeared on her left wrist a small blue moon, it didn’t hurt and she knew she didn’t get that herself. Her father’s new wife and her respected stepmother told her a story about a boy she knew that had the same mark, a mark that made her a Vampyre. Giovina was sent that year to the House of Night, she was new much like other students and was mostly scared, but also excited to now be somewhere new, somewhere that people might accept her.
